PermalinkWeek #2 - Who's Next?
Hello everyone and welcome to my second blog post following my continuing progress in getting back into Achievement Hunting. Still need to think of a good title for this series, something along the lines of comeback or something like that. Anyhow, allow me to fill you guys in on how I am going.

Firstly, in my last blog post, I told you guys that I had purchased Mortal Kombat X. Well turns out that I am doing quite well in that game so far as according to TA, I am 90% through completing the game in less than 1 month which I am incredibly satisfied with. The main problem I am facing with this game is online King of the Hill as the netcode for the game only allows Oceania players to face each other rather than worldwide. This means that I will have to find someone to grind this out with in Australia. Other than that, the game is going swimmingly and am actually finding it easier than completing it on the PS4.

As for other games, at the moment, I am just doing tidy ups on Xbox 360 and One games including Hitman on the One which I am playing for fun at the moment. For the 360, I went back and completed two very easy 400g games Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2. Another game I loved back in the day I went back and cleaned up a little was The Orange Box however I am uncertain whether I will end up 1000g the game as the achievements in Portal can be extremely hard and are considered the hardest achievements in not only the game, but on the entire system.

In terms of future games I am purchasing, Madden 06' I had purchased about 1 week ago and am currently awaiting the arrival so I can smash that out over the weekend or day even. As well as that, when it is released, I am very excited about purchasing Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. As a man who loved the original, I could not be more excited for this re-release and the achievements that come with it. Odds are they will be the same achievements, but hey, gamerscore is gamerscore.

Well this has been another edition of whatever I am calling this. See you guys next time (hopefully weekly from now on rather than randomly)

PermalinkWeek #1 - Back Into The Groove
Yes I know, it's been a while. Over 5 years ago was my last blog post and Early 2014 was when I briefly stopped achievement hunting. This "brief" period would end up lasting until January 2017 where I finally bought myself an Xbox One. While I did have an Xbox One prior, I was at a stage in my life where I had to sell for moneys sake. Now that I have sorted that out, it's time for me to get back into achievement hunting properly and positively. I also figured "Why not record my progress from the start of 2017 and beyond while I'm at it?" So let's get into the nitty-gritty and begin my weekly blog post about a former achievement hunter getting his groove back.

So my initial thought when considering how to back into the swing of things was games. Having games is obviously the key to getting multiple achievements. Upon buying my Xbox One, since I loved the games anyhow, I would go ahead and buy the Dead Rising Triple Back which includes Dead Rising 1, 2 and Off The Record. With the first game, I have not made significant progress when compared to the other two games especially considering that on February 28th, I would complete Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. As of now, my plan is to put Dead Rising 1 and 2 to the side for the time being to focus on several other games I have planned, including one I have planned to start this coming weekend on the Xbox 360.

This game would be The Simpsons Game. Now the reason I had chosen to start this game is because I have heard that this game is relatively easy to complete and I also remember playing the game when it initially released and having a blast doing so. As well as that, I have also recently purchased Mortal Kombat X for cheap on the Xbox Store. Since I have already got 100% on this game on the PS4, I figured "Why not get some gamerscore on I game I know I can complete" since I remember the game not being insanely difficult to complete. If anything, it was simply time consuming, taking on average about 60-80 hours. My goal at the moment is to have that completed by May 17th, which is the release date of NetherRealm Studios new game, Injustice: Gods Among Us 2.

Lastly, I also plan to clean up some other Xbox 360 games I have never delved into. More specifically, LEGO Indiana Jones 2. I have put this on hold for the moment just because there is currently no walkthrough available on the site for the game. Upon the completion of that walkthrough, I shall begin my progress on the LEGO game.

Well guys, that has been my first update on GamingHam's return to the realm of Achievement Hunting! I will see you guys next week for an update on what achievements and games I complete.
