#100k Challenge - Day 4 update
Well four full days into the new year, where does the time go ;) Not sure what everyone else's house is like but mine is still not quite back to normal just yet. Kids are still off and although my wife has gone back to work (check out her Instagram) we don't quite have the normal routine in place. Still eating chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. That will all change when they go back to school next week.......finally.
My last update was a quick going over of what I did when starting this challenge out. Buying Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass so that I had games to kick start my challenge. Over the last couple of days I have managed to keep relatively on schedule with my target gamer score so far. My plan is to hammer the points early with the vast array of games available so that further down the line when my options are slightly limited I may not need so much. That's the general idea at least.
What have I been playing?
The quick answer to this really is - the same as the first two days. If you have been following along on my social media channels (links at the bottom of the page) I have been posting daily updates of my gamertag with gamer score. The only 'new' game I have played has been NBA 2K17: The Prelude.
As a free game this was an easy completion (TA page) - however at the time of writing this there is one unobtainable achievement.
Due to it now being 2018 an easy 200 points missed but I will keep it installed on my console on the off chance a work around is found. No lost sleep though.State of Play - 05/01/0218
Games: Total played 7
Tomb Raider Underworld: 150/1250
Back to the Future - The Game: 200/1000
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III: 30/1000
NBA Playgrounds: 450/1000
NBA 2K17 - The Prelude: 800/1000
Total Points 3040
I still have spent no additional money so far this month, which was my plan as I can carry the money over to next month when Game Pass will cost me £7.99 and I am looking at purchasing a 12 months of Xbox Live.
What else have I been doing?
Although my range of games has not been vast so far - this is because I have been planning for the rest of January and February too. Looking through Game Pass, I have picked out which games I am aiming to complete over the coming months. This is too ensure I can stay around my target each month, both for costs and gamer score total. What next?
My aim for the end of week 1 of this challenge is to have a gamer score of around 4,500 - this is half my monthly target and will put me in good standing for the rest of the month.
