12 Days of Christmas Challenge Planner
I regret not making a list during the ABC Challenge that I could go back to and reflect on for fun - so I'm going to try to keep one running for this challenge. I really like these challenges as they give me an incentive to go back and get some of the more pesky achievements that I set aside, and can also help me decide which backlog game to start next.
In order to up my personal difficulty for this challenge I'm going to be attempting it without starting any new games unless it is absolutely necessary. I'm sure there are numerous other people doing it this way, but since I'm currently bouncing around 99% total completion it means that I have very few achievements to work with that are still locked on my account.
In fact, as the time of typing this, I currently have 128 locked achievements. If the current trend of these challenges continues it is going to call for a total of 78 achievements. As such, I'm fully expecting to have to start a handful of new games from my backlog, but I'll try to avoid it as much as possible. As an example - during the Alphabet Challenge there were actually about a half dozen letters that I didn't have any locked achievements for - so I had to start new games to proceed. Challenge 1 - One Game Completion
Day 2 - Two Versus Achievements
Day 3 - Three 3.0 Ratio Achievements
Day 4 - Four Letters of NOEL
The Nice Hat achievement in Rocket League worth 18 pointsWith a Topper equipped, score 3 Goals in a single game
Day 5 - Five Rare Achievements
Day 6 - Six Single Player Achievements
Day 7 - Seven Achievements from Seven Different Games
Day 8 - Eight Cooperative Achievements
The Speed Demon achievement in Rocket League worth 25 pointsCompletely fill and then empty your Rocket Boost 10 times in a single match
Day 9 - Nine Action-Adventure Achievements
LEGO Avengers is really pulling it's weight in this competition. I originally planned on using these achievements for Day 8 - Cooperative achievements, but I didn't have any other viable Action-Adventure achievements. I moved these to Day 9 and will use Rocket League for the cooperative on Day 8. I have to be very careful not to unlock any 10GS achievements so I can save them for Day 10's challenge, which means finishing the base game and not the DLC. These are lengthy achievements, but it will be nice to have it off of my plate!I can easily pop 8 cooperative achievements in one sitting, and can fallback onto Rocket League or Portal Knights if I need to. I'll plan on finishing up all of the LEGO Avengers DLC here, leaving me with just some leftovers in the base game. Day 10 - Ten 10G Achievements
I'm unsure if I'll have enough 10G achievements left for this day after doing Days 8 and 9. I'll revisit this at that point in time and may try to save some of the 10G ones listed above so that I can use them here. If I do it right I'll be able to finish LEGO Avengers completely here and pop a few from Rocket League. This will, however, leave me reaching for achievements for Days 11 and 12 - I'll be running low! With any luck Rocket League can carry the torch after LEGO Avengers is finished.Day 11 - Eleven Main Storyline Achievements
Well, at this point I only have about 4 Main Storyline Achievements locked on my account so I am going to have to start another new game to finish this. Bummer D:
I'll see what Day 12 brings challenge-wise before making a decision on what to start.Day 12 - Twelve Achievement Leap Frog
Well, 9 new games it is! I picked mostly shorter games that were in my backlog so I can get through them quickly. There are a couple lengthier ones that I've been meaning to get to so I worked them in as well.
I have some backup achievements planned if I manage to muck it up. I'm not too worried about figured out the "logistics" of this challenge if I mess up. I've got enough high ratio stuff to manage if needed. We'll see!
