oh boy, depends on the game! some are REALLY satisfying completions, but some are really great starts
I want to finish Dark Souls but I also want to start a new game. Either AC Origins or State of Decay 2

Takes me like 40-45 minutes a run so no big deal anyway
Each one takes 5 minutes less as you go along. saves a few hours.
Eh, cant be bothered doing it that way, feels like a lot more effort stuffing about with cloud saves etc.
When you live in the future you can burn time
Yeah, I thought the same but dK had just done and it turned out to be dead easy.
Straight to the top!

maybe make a column for notes on the original data to be used when you drill down in the pivot? Or make a new column after? The pivots can change, so notes on the pivot
wouldn't work well.
THAT DID NOT HELP BEAN
yeah i think i have to add it to the original table, but hopefully i can add the notes once it is in the pivot table itself
Adding it to the original data may not work if the pivot is summarizing multiple items (as you'd expect). Add a notes column but also a second for a reference that
matches the lines in the first column of the pivot. (So If you have Monday, Tuesday etc. in row A of the Pivot, data in row B, Notes row C and reference Row D)
The reference row is then =A3 (Monday), =A2 (Tuesday) etc. Then before you refresh the Pivot copy paste special Row D So when the pivot changes you then then lookup Row D
Using Vlookup or index and match and your notes will move to whatever line they now are on in the pivot. It's a clunky solution but works fine for small data sets.
Will you be changing the original data? If not, just copy the pivot table and paste the values somewhere else. Add whatever you want.
I might look into what Ark is suggesting. I don't want to change the data in the pivot table, but I am sorting several thousand rows of data by one set of paramaters (wh
(which I want the notes associated with) and filtering by date.
