Gears 3 boosting....ugghhh
2nd boss is definetely the toughest boss in the game for blak knight sword.
Someone commented that they found a way to grind hearts on level 2. Perhaps that long checkpoint and die and repeat would work.

Then upgrade hellebore 3 times and perhaps even buy an amor and full life and beat that boss. lol Then i can probably beat the game after. The chicken is much easier.
Lol. Underestimated arcade a little bit huh? I dont even remember how I fought him, if I went full hellebore, or if I used jumping sword attacks.
I used my own upgrade strat though and not mesas. Think I might've had hellebore lvl 3 when I fought him.
Nvm. Cant have 3. I did do upgrades different and pretty much never bought health refills though
Yes, i have done my own way of upgrade hellebore to 2nd level but now thought of 3rd level. I do great at the game. Its just the 2nd boss.
I tried to go for the legs but that is tougher. So jump and use hellebore seems best. Hard to avoid his head with the sword attack.
You can stand to the far left and use hellebore vs the white wolves but sometimes they jump in on me and damage me badly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyhoo2baoJw I use this strategy! But i have still failed but with 3 hellebore upgrades I should make it.
So i will see if i can die on stage 2 and gain hearts for the upgrades. Sacrifice maybe 2 lives for more hearts.
I dont need to buy any refills either. But did to get good practice in vs the boss. I also think of practicing it in hard mode.
Did not underestimate the arcade. Knew it was gonna be tough. But did not think the 2nd boss was tougher in arcade than hard mode.
It's all tougher in arcade. Once you get a bit more practice it wont seem bad at all. Dont think I ever had trouble with him once I figured out a decent strat.
You thought you were gonna do arcade on first try ;)
The chicken on arcade I believe his patterns were faster and he does double damage. Still not much of a threat, but the second fight can go real wrong real fast.
Nahh, I thought I might be able to do arcade within 10 attempts or so. But wasnt sure. I was told arcade is easier than hard. lol
If the chicken deals more damage in arcade than hard mode then i might struggle with that one too. Oh well.
I wonder if I should maybe just use all 4 ligthning attacks while standing between the boss legs and cut the 4 legs down.
The wolfs are killing me on this level! I struggle with them.
So I got very good practice now! I can dodge most of last boss attacks and got a few tricks on many different spots.
I feel confident that I can beat Arcade Mode and hope i make it on my first attempt. Will not do it now though.

If I beat arcade mode I will feel relieved that this game is out of the way. (Well challenge mode afterwards).
And in the arcade mode I will die on purpose near the end to get more hearts so I can get armor and some extra magic attacks etc.
I also managed to beat the chicken on my first attempt. But I then underestimated the chicken on stage 5 lol and failed 3 times.
Saw an arcade run video. Does not look too hard but not easy. I shall beat this game and make it one less bolded game on my voting list.
(I marked all tough games in bold and also all kinect games + totemball.
I looked at a video for the section with the chicken and that just doesn´t look like it´s going to be fun. I gotta do this at some point too... probably.
I spent some time looking at this and decided that it’s not for me! 😂

Just don’t practice the potatoe in hard mode+...or whatever diff was above hard ... it’s harder than arcade.
The chicken shmup part is actually pretty easy and bland for the most part. Boss is only thing that might cause trouble, but after a few times its cake.
The chicken part is probably the easiest part for me. I am good at that type of thing. But the final boss and just getting there.
So hard mode + is tougher than the arcade mode? What should i practice? Any advice is very much appreciated.
I hope it is possible to practice levels at the difficulty arcade is on.
I dont recall much anymore, but yeah for some reason +modes were harder I believe. Some basic general tips for the final run though, learn all the extra life spots.
Get as much of the upgrade currency as you can. Try to make it all fall on land instead of pits, or learn to get as much as you can from enemies over pits.
There was a kind of trick in the last level I used where I purposely died a few times. I dont remember exactly, but I think I was able to get enough to keep buying an
Extra life, and have a bit of profit to get a few extra upgrades.
Think only real way to practice the princess or whatever she was, and the white knight was to get there though, so you might have to do it a few times to get used to it.
Everything else you should really know about was in the guide I believe.
The tip about getting extra hearts for upgrades is very interesting. And i guess that is not pointed out in the guide. Damn i wish were that was exactly.
If you really take your time you could do that trick perhaps to get A LOT of extra lives and all upgrades. lol
Nah. Dont remember, but think lives slowly go up in price or something, but theres a reason you cant do it forever. Just try to get there without dying to get the most
Out of it.
Pretty sure it's one of the 4 doors specifically. Yields alot of hearts. Just die before finishing so you can keep repeating it.
Thanks! I will look for the right door and see if i can find the trick. So before finishing that specific door and also killing the boss perhaps i just die?
Yeah, before it gets to wherever it checkpoints.
Thanks! But too bad the prices for the extra hearts goes up. :D
Think hellebore can grab hearts over pits too, and certain parts can save microwave health for when you need it too, but that's basic knowledge
Thanks! Yes hellebore can grab hearts! :)
And you are correct! I so wanna be done with this game. haha but it is not as boring as minesweeper flags. No game is!
For those that don't speak Swedish, when Mattias says "the most boring game ever," he really means, "probably not that bad of a game." Hope this helps for all the
non-Swedes reading this
