Permalink132. The First Complete Edition In The Collection
External image

I'm excited to play this game now.

Traded in Saints Row: The Third. It had $16 trade credit, and another 20% added on top of that as part of a promotion at EB Games, so it was really $19.20. Since this was "recycled", it was even cheaper and I got 10% off this as well, added the $2 guarantee and I ended up paying just $5 to get the entire game + the DLC in it.

Might have to wait for a bit though, cause I'll probably do a little more in Deus Ex: Human Revolution before I turn to this.

On another note: I borrowed Just Cause 2 & Borderlands off my buddy so I'll be playing those at some point as well. clap

Anyways, thanks for reading! wave

Permalink131. The Game Collection
Hello everybody,

Just thought I'd share what games I still have in my collection on this overcast afternoon. I know every game I play gets tracked here, but obviously we all trade in games afterwards and such so while I've played 180+ games, I really only have about 40+ left laugh. I'll sort them out as to how I've played them/wish to play them.

*Some of these will fall into multiple categories, but where placed is my current priority

Single Player Work To Do:
Alone In The Dark
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
Kinect Adventures
Morph X
NFL Tour
Rock Band 2
The Orange Box
The Saboteur

Multiplayer/Co-Op Wish List:
Burnout Paradise
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Spec Ops)
Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood
F1 2011
Forza Motorsport 2 (1 million online credits)
Gears of War 3
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
Left 4 Dead
Red Faction: Guerilla
Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell Conviction
Tom Clancy's: HAWX

Borrowed Games to do MP/Co-op:
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (free trial weekend to be planned for this)

100%'s (may or may not include DLC):
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Saints Row: The Third

Not Yet Started:
Battlefield 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Games on Backburner/No Desire To Play Anytime Soon
Assassin's Creed
Big Bumpin'
Blazing Angels 2
Call of Duty: World at War (no desire for 10th prestige, but will play MP for fun)
Call of Duty 3
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
LEGO Rock Band
Madden 10
NHL 11
NHL 07
Sega Superstars Tennis
Xbox Live Arcade (disc)

F1 2011 is the one game I'd really like to finish off 100%, and preferably I'd like to know the person I'm playing it so who wants to become my best friend and buy it? laugh.

The rest of the MP/co-op wish list, just let me know if you'd like to play at some point. Some of them I haven't done in a while so I'll be rusty, but I do want to go back to them at some point.

I'll have a picture of the game shelf later once some batteries charge laugh.

EDIT: Here it is:

Permalink129. Man vs Bird. Who Wins?

... Apparently the Bird.

There's a nest in one of the trees in my backyard with new born hatchlings in it. I'd love to get a picture of it to show it, but this robin is a very crafty mindfucker laugh.

My first attempt to get close resulted in the mother robin to just fly at me while I never really got close... 1-0 robin.

Then when I thought it was gone after dinner, I went out again. There was the neighbourly rabbit in the backyard so I chased it near the tree and then BAM! The mother robin strikes again forcing me back. I tried to tempt it with bread crumbs, but failed to lure it's attention like the robin did to me with the robin... 2-0 robin.

I'll try again closer to sundown to see if the luck has changed, but I have a feeling this robin will beat me again laugh

Regular blogging coming again soon, I promise.

P.S. - If there's ever a real life game/movie on Angry Birds, this robin should be the face of it... laugh

Permalink128. Opportunity Awaits?
Hello All.

So for a Sunday, I have to say I'm quite pleased with how my day's gone. Had a nice meal at home, played some cards for a couple hours, and then when I go to check my e-mail, it's from a place I applied to for a job requesting to set up a time for an interview smile. I really hope I get it, it's been a while since I've had full time work, and with a missed chance for school, this opens up another door for me. It's a warehouse gig, so it's something I should easily be capable of and something I can probably enjoy. But with this job, I'll be saving a lot of money to get a few things I desire, notably if I'm there long enough, an apartment with my buddy. That would be awesome!!!

Assuming it doesn't rain tomorrow either, I'll be in charge of practice (most of it anyway) with the team I'm helping out this year. I'm looking forward to it because I have several ideas in my head for drills and I really want to implement them instead of full time batting practice. I know it's an adjustment for these kids to go from aluminum to wood bats, but they gotta know how to play defensively and be prepared for certain plays. A lot of drills will be nice for a change, kind of like how I used to practice when I still played.
  • Sunday Joke: Newfie Genius

One morning, three Newfoundlanders and three Albertans were in a ticket counter line at a train station. The three Albertans each bought a ticket and watched as the three Newfies bought just one ticket.

'How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?' asked one of the Albertans.
'Be watchin and learnin,' answered one of the Newfies.

All six boarded the train where the three Albertans sat down, but the three Newfies crammed into a toilet together and closed the door. Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around to collect tickets. He knocked on the toilet door and said, 'Ticket, please.' The door opened just a crack and a single arm emerged with a ticket in hand. The conductor took it and moved on. The Albertans saw this happen and agreed it was quite a clever idea. Indeed, so clever they decided to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money.

That afternoon when they got back to the station, they bought a single ticket for the return trip and watched, while to their astonishment, the three Newfies didn't buy even one ticket!

'How are you going to travel without a ticket?' asked a perplexed Albertan. 'Be watchin and learnin,' answered the three Newfie boys in unison.

When they boarded the train, the three Albertans crammed themselves into a toilet and the three Newfies crammed into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train began to move, one of the Newfies left the toilet and walked over to the toilet in which the Albertans were hiding.

The Newfie knocked on the door and said, 'Ticket, please.' laugh
