This walkthrough is still in progress but I will not finish it this year. Probably by the end of January 2015.

Welcome to the Costume Quest 2 walkthrough.
Going through the story will unlock almost every achievement. After you beat the endboss, you cannot return to a previous area but the game does not save. In case you missed an achievement (which you should not if you follow this walkthrough), you can always reload your latest save file and the game will bring you back just before the end boss.
Beware of the only real missable achievement though! If you miss it, you will have to start over again. Make sure you always put the Candy Corn costume on one of your characters in case you got surprised by an enemy who pulls you into battle.
I do not want to ruin your gaming experience with this walkthrough. The text will give you the freedom to explore areas as you like, I only will mention what you can find in what area and is spoiler free. The videos however will show you everything in case you do not find a key item and are NOT spoiler free.
Note: I always write my walkthroughs in British English, however the game is in American English. You will notice this when I quote parts of the game.
CostumesEach costume has his own Focus and only a few have also an Exploration Ability. To change costumes, press

Grinding AreaThere are 2 perfect spots for grinding candy because the enemies keep spawning.

ExplorationBe always ready to be pulled into battle. Wear the costumes you want to battle with. Only change the costume of your main character (the first) if you need it to pass an obstacle and immediately change back into the preferred costume.
After a battle replace your Creepy Treat Cards into 3 new ones while they are recharging. You need to try them out all for an achievement. I will mention in the walkthrough if a big fight is coming up, so you will be ready with the great cards and the right costumes.
Note: The focus in the videos is on showing where everything is. You will not see me change costumes and Creepy Treat Cards after each battle.
Trick-or-TreatBe prepared for battle when you knock on a door for Trick-or-Treat. Enemies can be hidden behind the door. Houses where you can Trick-or-Treat are illuminated, after you knocked on the door, the lights are turned off.
BattleNext to each enemy's health bar, you can see its type. If you match an attack with a costume that is strong against that type, you will do more damage, if you match an attack with a costume that is weak against that type, you will do less damage. Keep this in mind during battle.
Every Creepy Treat Card you use in battle, will need a certain amount of future battles to recharge. This will also be the case if you lose the battle or ran away from it.
Always try to sneak behind an enemy and tag him with
for an advantage in battle.
CandyPick up as much Candy as you can. Candy will heal you if you eat it (
) and it is also the currency in this game. Once you picked up 4000 candy (you can spend it), you will unlock the next achievement.
SavingDo not quit out to the main menu without saving your game. It will automatically save:
* when you reach an important part of the game
* when you drink from the fountain
* when you buy something from Shady
ShadyYou can buy maps, Creepy Treat Cards and Costume Upgrades from Shady. The maps only cost 20 candy and are useful as they give an overview of the costume pieces and secrets that can be found in an area.
FountainsMake good use of the fountains to restore your health or to save your game.
Go through the "Mysterious Portal" to start the story.
Auburn Pines - Present DayTake a look around and search for Candy (
). You do not have a "hub" yet, but the collected Candy does count. On your way, talk to your parents as well. Make sure you collected all Candy and talked to the people you wanted before you approach Kronoculus and his Kronys (the brown guy with the clock) as you will trigger a cutscene and continue with the story. Oh no, we have to save Halloween.
Lucy & Everett's House - The FutureGo to the left until you reach the garden. Open the door of the shed, pick up the Superhero and the Candy Corn costume from the chest.
Now go back inside the house. You were lucky Corvus was around to save you guys. The future has totally different laws about costumes and Halloween customs. Corvus will teach you the basics of fighting, blocking and the special ability attack. (lesson 1/?).
Enter the house and go to the time portal.

Explore the area and notice the fountain. You will be triggered into your first fight when you approach the 2 characters. Remember to always drink after a fight to recover your full health.
Cross the bridge on the left and talk to Monty.
Explore the area further and there will be a tutorial popping up that you must press
to wheelie boost over ramps. You will find all costume pieces in the area with the alligators.

Give Monty his costume pieces back.
Approach the alligator that is blocking the road. Change into the Clown Costume and press

Explore the area and Trick-or-Treat at every house. Make sure you talk to everyone as well for additional quests.

Now that you have the Pterodactyl Costume, you can use its ability to scare away the pigeons and to blow away the pile of leafs. Do that 10 times and you will unlock the next achievement.
Before you search for the kid Orel, go back to the Bayou. With the new Pterodactyl costume, you can reach two other chests you could not before.

On your way back to the French Quarter you will notice a pile of leafs on the left side. Blow them away and go find that kid Orel.
Now that you have your candy back, go talk to Lil'Bones in the French Quarter.
French Quarter - The PastYou can find the boat mechanic Earl on the right side in the French Quarter. He will fix the boat for 50 bucks.
Change into the Clown Costum and sound your horn around people. Once you got enough people, talk to Annie again (keep that Clown uniform on). Sound the horn each time the icon appears in the top right corner.
Keep your Clown Costume on, enter the Jazz (Mink's Place) and talk to Harmonious Mink. Just sound your horn at will.
Bring the 50 bucks to the boat mechanic Earl. He will give you Oar in return. Go see Lil'Bones again.

Attack Kronoculus with "normal attacks". You can use the special attack of the other costumes, but keep the bar of the Superhero full. Once Kronoculus his HP is low he will spawn the clock and a Krony Machinist. Now is the time to use the special attack of the superhero.
Make sure you destroy the clock first as Kronoculus will otherwise keep rewinding time. Once the battle is won, you will unlock the next achievement.
Take the boat to get back to the French Quarter. The timehole is in the Bayou.

You can only buy upgrades for costumes from Shady. Buy 3 upgrades for the costumes you like most. (You probably end up buying them all any way).

Clown Upgrade "Rainbow Cloth": 1000 Candy
Superhero Upgrade "Star Patch": 1000 Candy
Pterodactyl Upgrade "Fanny Pack": 1000 Candy
Jefferson Upgrade "Red Dye": 1500 Candy
Wizard Upgrade "Bleach": 1500 Candy
Wolfman Upgrade "Letterman Jacket": 1500 Candy
Pharaoh Upgrade "Dog Ear Headband": 1500 Candy
Buy 3 of above upgrades to unlock the next achievement.
Each time you collect a new costume, put it on and use its special power (you might need a few battles before the special attack bar is fully charged). Once you used them all, you will unlock the next achievement.
Note: The "Floss Robot" Costume is not a battle costume, its only purpose is disguise.

There are 45 Treat Cards you can collect by finding them in chest, defeating enemies, trading with other kids or buying them from Shady.

In battle use all three cards and after the battle, equip the next 3 cards until you used them all in battle. Once a card is used, the power needs to regenerate for a couple of battles before you can use them again.
