UK Deal Roundup for August 14th, 2012

By Keith Gray, 6 years ago
New releases aren't the only things suffering a relative lull in the gaming world during these summer months. This week sees much fewer new sales appearing on the horizon.

The highlights include another ASDA pre-order deal to die for and a Blitz (no, not the Rock Band type!) from Sainsbury's. Despite the fact that the Olympic Games has now finished, TheHut and Zavvi obviously want the sportiness to continue with their new promotions.

Most of the regular sales continue again this week. The majority of last week's new deals are continuing, but a couple of the other promotions have now come to an end!

You'll need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing and subject to change at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales:

Even though the Olympics finished on Sunday, it's worth mentioning that Amazon are currently top of the podium for at £27.50.

It seems that ASDA doesn't want to mess with Death itself, so much so that you can pre-order the Limited Edition version of for only £29.47.

ASDA has an equally awesome deal on a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription. You're required to enter 25XBOXGOLD at the checkout to get the subscription code at a flamin' hot price of £25.

Sainsbury's Entertainment Blitz sees many Xbox 360 titles and accessories on offer. The best prices include: - £16.99 - £17.99
• Official Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit - £10.99 - £14.99 - £12.99 - £22.99
• Xbox 360 Kinect Special Edition Celebration Pack - £209.99

Two items have been added to Shopto's Hot Deals this week to replace the accessories which featured last week. The additions are a Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Game and Guitar Bundle priced at £38.86 and for £5.86.

Shopto has (Classics) reduced to £12.85, as an addition to the regular offers.

TheHut has began a new sports-orientated promotion, titled the EA Summer of Sport. Only three games are available at prices worth talking about: at £12.95, Skate 3 at £14.95 and for £24.95.

Zavvi has started the same promotion as TheHut on sports games. Feel free to pick and choose which of the sister stores you'd like to purchase from, as the promotion has an identical name, identical games included and exactly the same prices at both retailers.
