UK Deal Roundup for August 21st, 2012

By Keith Gray, 6 years ago
The usual stalwarts in the gaming deals department return this week. ASDA brings in the big guns with a brand-spanking-new promotion. Tesco are determined to concentrate on pre-order deals again. Meanwhile, TheHut and Zavvi are focused on providing bargain-hunting opportunities over the very quiet summer period. The re-design of Shopto's website has resulted in another change to their Hot Deals.

Many of the existing offers make another appearance with the addition of a couple of last week's newbies.

You'll need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing and subject to change at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales:

Amazon has an Official Wireless Bluetooth Headset priced at £19.99. If you're feeling Brave, then you can grab the Kinect-enabled movie tie-in from Amazon for £30.29 (the price is also matched by Play, if you prefer --- see below).

GAME's Deal of the Day promotion has the Kinect Sports Double Pack (includes and for £29.99. The name of this promotion is quite misleading; it's been running for more than one day, but there's no indication as to when it is likely to finish. If you want it, grab it quickly!

HMV has and available for £18 each, as part of the Summer Deals promotion.

Play's Knockout Deals don't really pack much of a punch, but the tie-in to Disney's latest animated adventure, Brave is reduced to £30.29 (the price is also matched by Amazon, if you prefer --- see above).

Shopto's website has had a revamp over the last week. As a result, the ever-changing Hot Deals have been replaced by Star Buys. - £12.85 (Game of the Year) - £14.86

Tesco seems to prefer offering pre-order deals at this time of the year. This is understandable, as the majority of major releases won't arrive until the Autumn. The pre-order deals on sports games sees currently available for only £29.97. The other available titles are still a little more expensive at the moment.

Tesco has triple packs of figures, priced at £14.97 (per pack).

Zavvi has started a new Games for £9.95 promotion. Here's a few examples of what's included: (Classics)

The majority of the deals in this promotion are being matched by sister store, TheHut. Unfortunately, there's no specific sale highlighted there, so you'll have to use TheHut's search function to find titles.
