Codemasters has unveiled its third instalment of developer diary entries for soon-to-be-released racing simulator, https://www.trueachievements.com/F1-2012-xbox-360.htm
One of the biggest selling points for the recent reboot of the F1
franchise has been the intention to recreate a racing experience that is as close to reality as possible. The new trailer highlights that the talented team are looking to "break new boundaries" to try and "match real life". F1 2012
will benefit from improvements in the dynamic weather system and audio enhancements, as well as taking inspiration from the TV coverage of several aspects of the current season's races.
For those who don't have access to the trailer, the two quotes below should provide a brief explanation of the main points.
Firstly, Paul Jeal, Game Director for F1 2012
focuses on the weather developments:
The whole weather scenario system has really been refined this year... You’ll get weather fronts come in now and it could be raining at one section of the track but dry on another. So you get those moments where you’re not sure which tyres to be on and that really mixes up the racing
In addition, Creative Director Stephen Hood explains how the cars are created so accurately:
Significant work has gone into the physics model, particularly the suspension, which has a real sea change on the feel of the car... You can really attack the track. It’s those extra elements that make you feel like a real FORMULA ONE driver... If you want that FORMULA ONE experience, the stuff we’ve been doing in 2012 has moved on a whole new generation now
It may just be coincidence, but does this weekend seem to be the perfect time to release a bunch of new screenshots and a 'Hot Laps' video featuring Belgium's legendary Spa circuit? Guess what?
Is a demo
what you need to convince you to part with your hard-earned cash? If so, you don't have long to try it, as F1 2012
is scheduled for release on September 18th and 21st in North America and Europe respectively.
