Codeglue Brings a 3D Rocket Riot to Windows 8

By Rebecca Smith, 6 years ago
Codeglue brought to the Xbox LIVE Arcade over three years ago and then ported the title to the Windows Phone 7 a year later. The 2D game pitted players against each other or the AI in a bid to find out who could survive for the longest when firing at each other with rockets. Codeglue is now taking the battle into 3D with the news that will be one of the first 40 games to launch for Windows 8.

Rocket Riot 3D incorporates several of the classic Rocket Riot levels alongside 24 levels that will be exclusive to the Windows 8 game. The classic levels will come with new stories, 8-bit style visual effects and new characters. In total, there will be over 100 single player missions and over 200 characters, including zombies, robots, pirates, moose and rocket-propelled bananas. The many bosses and minibosses will test your skills to the limit.

If the AI doesn't seem to present enough of a challenge, players can challenge their friends to battle and obliteration. If opponents choose to hide behind the environment, then it's time to blast your way through it in the quest for "ultimate Rocket Riot world domination!"
