The moral of recent history for EA games is “buy the game new”. EA is now offering 1200 MSP worth of DLC free with their latest titles. The next game to receive this treatment is Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Purchasing the game new will net you a VIP code that gains access to its respective DLC network, similar to the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2.
I would also encourage fans of the series, or even fence sitters, to drop the reservation price on the game to receive the limited edition release. Those gamers that preorder the game will receive a limited edition version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at no additional charge. You read that right, folks. If you preorder the game you get it at the same price as a “normal” copy of the game. Apparently after the game ships the only copy on the shelves will be the normal release.
I think this is a bit of an intelligent move instead of making gamers fork out an additional $10-25 dollars just for a tin case.
