If you've been firing up your original Xbox console in order to indulge in some Halo 2
action online, then you could be in line for a reward by Microsoft
In recognition of the loyalty of Halo 2
gamers still thrashing it out online and the fact that all original Xbox LIVE servers will be decommissioned as of April 15th, Microsoft
will be offering this small community of dedicated people the chance to participate in the Halo: Reach
In addition to this it the lucky few will also receive a three month Gold account extension, and 400MSP to spend in the Marketplace as they see fit.
The Gold subscription extension is automatically applied to eligible accounts, whilst the 400MSP will be distributed by way of a message to your account on Xbox LIVE. This will contain a token which, once activated, allows you a full year in which to redeem your points.
It's a nice move by Microsoft
to help soften the blow of April 15th.
Anyone who thinks that they may be eligible for this should be aware that Microsoft
will be e-mailing full details to selected users, including any codes required to redeem access to the Halo: Reach
