Pre-Order Bonuses to Help Save Mankind in Fuse

By Rebecca Smith, 6 years ago
When Overstrike was first announced back at E3 2011, the trailer was filled with light-hearted humour as it showed a group of four rag-tag mercenaries with different abilities who were fighting an anonymous threat while causing as much carnage as possible. The game on which the trailer was based seemingly didn't seem to be a viable retail release. More than a year after that trailer was released the game was reborn as Fuse, having lost most of the humour in favour of a more serious and darker story.

The four-person co-op action game sends Overstrike 9 to an underground research facility to investigate why communications have gone dark. They find a devastated laboratory where the alien technology 'Fuse' is running rampant. To limit the damage, Overstrike are tasked with destroying the technology in an effort to control the damage outside of the facility, but a rogue paramilitary organization, Raven, wants to get its hands on the technology too. The impending arms race needs stopping, so the team take hold of experimental Fuse weapons that give each of the four agents their own unique capabilities.

Izzy Sinclair, Naya Deveraux, Dalton Brooks and Jacob Kimble will need all the help that they can get to stop Raven from taking control over the world. Developer Insomniac has decided to assist by announcing the pre-order bonuses for the game, where players can unlock special armour and weapon customisations for each member. There will also be a team perk that will bolster everybody's arsenal through increasing the amount of damage caused while wielding one-handed weapons.
