More Games are Delisted from Xbox LIVE Marketplace By Rebecca Smith, 17 Nov 2012 CommentsA while has passed since we've had to report on any Xbox LIVE Arcade games being removed from the marketplace; however, the past few weeks have seen a handful of games being removed without any prior warning. As a result, we've decided to bring you up to speed with the latest developments. At the end of October, SEGA Rally Online Arcade Achievements. No reason has ever been given for the removal of the game, but speculation blames licence expiration with vehicle manufacturers, similar to the situation that caused OutRun Online Arcade Achievements to disappear in December 2011. A second victim, Merv Griffin's Crosswords Achievements, was delisted this month and is also believed to have been pulled due to an expired licence.Inferno Pool Achievements was developed by Dark Energy Digital, who went into administration back in March. Although it hasn't been confirmed, we assume that it is for that reason that the game was delisted from the marketplace at the start of November. Hydrophobia Achievements, the other XBLA game developed by that company remains on the marketplace, but I wouldn't wait too long to pick it up. Members of Dark Energy Digital went on to found Cherry Pop Games, who developed and released Pool Nation Achievements three weeks ago — there's always that title to solve your pool-playing urges. There are also games that are delisted for no apparent reason. Both Roogoo Achievements and Screwjumper! Achievements were delisted over the last three weeks, but the reasons have not been revealed. All five of the above delistings appear to be permanent. The final victim was completely unexpected and, hopefully, the delisting is just temporary. Kung-Fu Strike: The Warrior's Rise Achievements was only released on September 5th but was removed from the marketplace two days ago. Developer Qoocsoft are currently working with Microsoft and publisher 7Sixty to try and bring the game back. We'll bring you more information as we find it!XBLA Written by Rebecca SmithRebecca is the Newshound Manager at TrueGaming Network.
