The Stimulus Package
for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
is still set to be released on March 30th, but the content is already visible on the Xbox Live Marketplace, revealing all the juicy info about what the Map Pack contains.
As with all content on the Marketplace, the listing contains a short description of what the item actually is, which reads:
The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex; "Storm," an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return, including "Crash," a war-torn urban environment; and "Overgrown," which features a massive dry creek bed.
Understandably, it's not massively detailed and the vague descriptions probably don't sound too enticing, but COD4 fans are no doubt very familiar with the latter two maps, and knowing which maps are coming is surely something to get excited about. Personally though, I'd say that the "multi-level apartment complex" definitely sounds like an intriguing map with some weighty potential. You can see the DLC for yourself via the External Link below
- the DLC has since been removed from the Marketplace. Don't think you'll be getting it any earlier than the rest of us! The release date for the maps has not changed at all, and you can only download them currently if you have a code for it - so unless you are an Infinity Ward employee I'd say your chances of obtaining one are pretty darn slim.
Not long to go now though, the cure for mapathy hitting the Marketplace on Tuesday 30th March.
