Army of TWO: The Devil's Cartel
, like its predecessors, aims to excel as a co-op experience. This is why Trans World Operations operatives always work in pairs. After all, an individual can't have eyes in the backs of their heads, so a back to a back takes care of that problem.
Those of you who played Army of TWO
are well aware of those game's protagonists, Salem and Rios. In this newest entry, while those characters will still be present, we will now step into the shoes of Alpha and Bravo. Here's a handful of new screens and a video showing the duo working together to bring down members of the Mexican cartel who they're targeting.
EA has also revealed that yet another duo is being added to the cast, as hip-hop artists Big Boi and B.o.B. will appear in the game. They will become operatives Charles “Chuy” Rendall (Big Boi) and Anthony “Baker” Barnes (B.o.B.), and assist players through the campaign. We already knew about the bonuses
included with a pre-order of Army of Two
, but it's also been revealed that folks in the UK who pre-order from Amazon will receive an "exclusive" Hit-Makers Kit. This kit will give players "access to a one-of-a-kind TWO Contract mission that will allow them to play as Big Boi and B.o.B.’s character, as well as custom masks and weapon skins designed by the artists themselves."
As if all of that wasn't already a lot of information to digest. EA and developer Visceral have also launched a new series of videos called "TWO Unmasked". In these videos, journalist Carrie Keagan explores some of the behind-the-scenes workings of Trans World Operations. Today's video, appropriately, highlights why TWO operatives always work in pairs.
Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel
will be available in North America on March 26th, 2013 and across Europe on March 28th, 2013.
