Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
was nearly a game that never was. In it's previous form as Metal Gear Solid: Rising
, the game's concept was going nowhere and Kojima Productions cut production. Then Platinum Games got hold of it and put their own little spin onto the gameplay. The result is a game that many wouldn't naturally associate with the Metal Gear
This means that most gamers would need a demo to help them make up their minds about a purchase. Up until now, the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
demo has been packaged with the Zone of the Enders HD Collection
in a move that echoes the original release of Zone of the Enders
. That doesn't mean that a wider audience won't be able to get a preview of the game. Next month, the demo will be released onto the Marketplace in all regions.
To get an idea of the gameplay that you can expect in the demo, check out this footage here
. Take my advice though. The new "cut everything" mechanic is great, but don't spend so long deciding in which direction to cut your enemies that the slow-mo ends and they belt you instead. Not that I'm talking from personal experience or anything.
When we get an exact release date for the demo, we'll be sure to let you know.
