Tomb Raider Reveals Multiplayer With New Dev Diary

Reinventing yourself can have disastrous consequences if you don't know what you're doing. Remember when Joel Schumacher took over the Batman franchise? Ugh. Or how about when you tried frosting your tips for your 8th grade yearbook photo. Surely all evidence of that has been erased. With Crystal Dynamics rebooting the Lara Croft saga with March's Tomb Raider, it was time for them to start thinking about what could be done with multiplayer modes.

The famed studio didn't want to spread itself too thin, as they are committed to delivering a compelling narrative, but it's 2013, everything is online now. With that in mind, they handed off the multiplayer reigns to Eidos Montreal to develop a fully-fledged online mode that you can see for yourself in this new dev diary hosted by actor and avid gamer Zachary "Chuck" Levi.

What are your thoughts on this? Another traditionally single-player experience has jumped into the multiplayer fray. It's probably too early to judge, but that's never stopped anyone -- let's hear it! Tomb Raider shipwrecks into stores on March 5th.
