Bungie has released an update, explaining some of the developments we saw last month in the Halo: Reach mulitplayer beta trailer. Jet packs and Load Outs are explained, and an "armor lock" mode is revealed.
It explains Load Outs as: "At the beginning of each match or round, and again every time you wait out your respawn window, you are given the option of choosing a Load Out." It says these are not player created or defined, but are playlist and/or game type specific. They allow you to choose your starting primary and secondary weapons, grenade cache and armor ability.
Armor lock is a new ability that grants you invulnerability for a short space of time. However, you are rooted to the spot while you use it! So while you might deflect the plasma grenade someone just threw, you are a sitting duck for an assassination when the armor lock ends!
The update confirms some of the exciting new developments we had only seen a glimpse of. Check the external link below for the update on Bungie.net.
Halo: Reach is set to be released on the Xbox 360 this autumn.
