NASCAR The Game: Inside Line to Get DLC

By Rebecca Smith, 3 years ago
The 2013 NASCAR racing season is due to start later this month and, after two years of development, the new Generation-6 cars will be making their debut. The cars are a more accurate representation of the cars that would be found on the manufacturer's showroom floor. They have added safety enhancements and they weigh less. Driver names, sponsor decals and car numbers have been moved around. Eutechnyx and Activision would like the cars within NASCAR The Game: Inside Line to be as up-to-date as possible so they will be releasing new in-game DLC that brings the Gen-6 cars to the title.

The Chevrolet SS, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry models will be available in game for the first time. Here's a quick look at some of the new vehicles:

3/2/13 Bobby Labonte

3/2/13 Carl Edwards

3/2/13 Casey Mears

3/2/13 Danica Patrick

3/2/13 David Reutimann

3/2/13 Greg Biffle

3/2/13 Michael McDowell

3/2/13 Ryan Newman

3/2/13 Trevor Bayne

The cars can be used online or in select single-player modes, as well as the upcoming "Inside Line Highlights". The latter is a series of in-game DLC packs that use telemetry data from actual NASCAR races so that players can replay race events as they happen in the real world.

The "NASCAR Gen 6" cars will be released at the end of this month. They can be purchased as part of the "Inside Line Highlights" DLC or they can be purchased separately using the in-game Ticket currency.
