Go to game store. Buy game. Run home. Tear off wrapper. Sniff new game smell. Open case. Instruction manual? For wimps. Registration card? Boring paperwork, bin it... Game on!
A well known routine to many of us I'm sure, yet if you've been doing this with Square Enix
titles, then you've been making a mistake.
By registering your title online with Square Enix
you were making yourself a potential candidate for shiny prizes. And we all like shiny prizes don't we? Each new game came with a code to be entered online at their members reward program website. The time has now come to get something out of these registrations.
Prizes are naturally varied in nature and range from some nice collectors edition post cards for some of your favourite games (at the lowest level of shiny prizeness known as 'Bronze Tier') all the way up to alleged gadgets such as an iPod Touch
(at the level known as 'Ultimate Tier').
Unfortunately the time for registering new codes has now passed
, but the time to claim goodies from those banked codes hasn't
Put simply, you have until APRIL 16TH
to get over to Square Enix's
reward website, download your request form and post it off. (

As promised, the year-end reward request form is now available! If you have achieved a Bronze or higher Tier in Year 2009 (March 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010), you may claim your reward by submitting the form now through April 16, 2010.
What happens if you wait until after April 16? Well, first of all, the form will be taken down, so you will not be able to submit it after that date. If you do not claim your reward during the reward claim period, you will be ineligible to receive the reward, so be sure to submit the completed form before April 16, 2010.
Another important note is that you need to make sure that the mailing address you enter is:
a) not a P.O. Box address, and
b) a correct mailing address in the United States or Canada.
We cannot ship your rewards to a P.O. Box or any addresses located outside of the U.S. and Canada. Also, we noticed a good amount of people entered incorrect or unreachable addresses the last time we did this, so PLEASE BE SURE TO CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED THE CORRECT ADDRESS! This is your responsibility.
After submitting the request form, please wait up to 14 weeks for delivery. We're currently working on the production of the reward items, and sometimes the process can take longer than expected. We appreciate your patience.
Again, the form will be available ONLY THROUGH APRIL 16, 2010, so claim your reward now!
