Bethesda Reveals 'The Knife of Dunwall' DLC

Yesterday, Bethesda teased gamers with a new image for some DLC for their hot stealth title, Dishonored. Today, they've fully revealed the details on "The Knife of Dunwall".

DLC 3

"The Knife of Dunwall" will put gamers in the shoes of Daud, the supernatural assassin who sets the events of Dishonored into motion with the murder of empress Jessamine Kaldwin.

Blinking into Daud's shoes will also give gamers a bevy of new powers, weapons, and gadgets. A few of the new powers outlined by Bethesda are "Summon Assassin" which will allow Daud to call upon the Whalers to assist in combat, "Void Gaze" which will help track down Runes and Bone Charms (sounds pretty similar to "Dark Vision"), and a new version of the popular "Blink" power. Daud will also have access to new weapons like "Chokedust" which will daze enemies, whale oil-powered "Stun Mines", and a concealed "Wristbow" to launch sleep darts and explosive bolts.

DLC 2

"The Knife of Dunwall" will also allow gamers to see more of Dishonored's incredible setting by exploring new locales like the Legal District and the Rothwild Slaughterhouse (see exactly where that whale oil comes from!), as well as returning to Daud's base in the Flooded District of Dunwall. Furthermore, this content will give gamers a chance to see the events of Dishonored through Daud's eyes.

Much like the events of the main campaign, there will be a degree of binary morality in Daud's journey which charges him with discovering the mystery behind Delilah. Bethesda is teasing this with the following:

On your search for answers, approach each mission with your own style. Your redemption – or your turn towards darkness – depends on your skills and the decisions you make.

Finally, Bethesda has revealed that "The Knife of Dunwall" is just the first part of this two-part narrative journey which will conclude with another DLC pack titled, "The Brigmore Witches".

"The Knife of Dunwall" is set for a April 16th release and will cost 800 MSP. Bethesda has promised that they will be releasing more information in the coming weeks, so keep it locked onto TA for the latest!
