Achievements for three pieces of DLC for Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants
appeared at the end of January. The same couldn't be said for the DLC. Only one of the three pieces of content appeared on the Marketplace alongside the achievements. Today, nearly two months on, the second piece of DLC has finally appeared for players to purchase.
"Dawn of Pirates
" adds another single-player campaign where players get to cause as much trouble as possible as a pirate. Become the most notorious pirate in the Caribbean as you plunder cities and raid convoys. As well as adding five new achievements worth 125G, the content adds these new features to the game:
• A new pirate-themed campaign with adjusted interface and gameplay
• Ironman-mode challenges you to play through the campaign without save-points
• An online ranking-system with a global high-score-list for Normal as well as Ironman modes
The remaining piece of DLC is titled "New Adventures
", which was released on PC back in November and is likely to see a release on the Xbox 360 in a month or so. I can confirm that it will have achievements. We'll bring you more details and a release date as we get them.
"Port Royale 3 Dawn of Pirates DLC (Port Royale 3 and Title-Update required)" costs 400 MSP and can be downloaded from here
