High-flying skateboarding action is coming exclusively to Windows 8 devices with Endless Skater
from developer Supervillian Studios. The game has a 2.5D mechanic to it: you skate side to side but can choose different paths to find sicker lines or chain together better combos and whatnot. You can see this briefly in the reveal trailer below.
Grind some rails, clear a gap, collect the LINE letters scattered throughout the track. Sounds a bit like another popular franchise from back in the day, doesn't it? Well some of Supervillian devs were a part of the original Tony Hawk
development team. While you can spot some similarities to the Tony Hawk
series, it's clear they're doing something different with the skateboarding genre.
The game supports touch controls for your tablet device or keyboard/mouse or Xbox 360 controller on your PC. Although the game aims to offer some over-the-top arcade board play, it has a dose of realism injected in it as well. Endless Skater
features five real life pros: Danny Way, Christian Hosoi, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins-Pastrana, Sean Malto or Ryan Decenzo. They also sport real life gear like DC, Volcom, Skullcandy, and more.Endless Skater
ollies onto Windows 8 later this spring.
