FarSight Studios Offers Switch to Kickstarters

By Michelle Balsan,
Those of you following FarSight Studios' The Pinball Arcade are likely very aware that the DLC for the title simply hasn't been making its way to XBLA. Unfortunately, this is due to the bankruptcy of the game's publisher, Crave Entertainment.

Despite the issues presented by the bankruptcy, FarSight has still announced multiple new tables in the hope that things will one day turn around, and XBLA fans of Pinball Arcade can enjoy what users on other platforms have been playing for some time.

FarSight is keen on making right by people who have supported their game, so they've now offered some reparation to those folks who backed the XBLA version of The Pinball Arcade when they ran their Kickstarter. Here is their statement on the matter:

Due to the length of the delays on the Xbox 360, we are offering to switch kickstarter backer platforms to any other platform we support. If the base game is needed to play (for example the PS3), we will be happy to provide a means to getting the base game free-of-charge. We are continuing to work with the bankrupcy court to get the legal issues with our 360 publisher sorted out, and we remain confident we will be able to release all of the new tables on the 360 soon. Please contact us at PinballArcadeStarTrekCodes@gmail.com if you'd like to switch platforms.
And thank you for supporting us!
Of course, you can choose to wait it out and see if FarSight can work out publishing DLC for Pinball Arcade, but it really is pretty stand up of them to offer a remedy to a problem that is pretty much entirely out of their control.
