'Momiji' will be making her first ever Dead or Alive appearance in the upcoming instalment. Momiji is a character from the Ninja Gaiden series and was Ryu Hayabusa's apprentice in Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword. Further down the timeline, she became a playable character in Ninja Gaiden Sigma II and is now a downloadable character for the Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Momiji receives a sweet introduction to the series with this newly released trailer. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will include a few new modes that were featured in Dead or Alive 5+ which was exclusive for the Playstation Vita. Giving the newer fighters and even the experts a chance to practice and hone their fighting styles and skills, the "Skill Info Plus" and tutorial mode will serve players of all skill ranges well. Team Ninja's Leader, Yosuke Hayashi, is feeling confident about the upcoming goodness to come with Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate:

DEAD OR ALIVE 5 ULTIMATE is a great addition to our franchise. The game has a lot to offer and we’re excited that our fans will have the opportunity to enjoy an experience that delivers on our signature high energy fighting entertainment.

As fans can expect, players will be able to take on the roles of their favourite Dead or Alive fighters already well-settled in the franchise. New fighters will be making their debuts, and fans can certainly expect many more character reveals via DLC once the game releases.

The dream lineup is joined by the first ever appearance of NINJA GAIDEN’s Momiji who utilizes the Hayabusa-style Aiki-jujitsu taught to her by the master himself, Ryu Hayabusa. Soon to be announced additional characters will also add to the massive cast of fighters from DEAD OR ALIVE 5 which includes Ryu Hayabusa, Hayate, Ayane, Kasumi, Hitomi, Bayman, Christie, Lei Fang, Zack, Kokoro, Bass, Rig, Jann Lee, Helena, Lisa, Brad Wong, Eliot, Tina, along with Akira, Pai and Sarah Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series.

The stages will remain interactive with classic fighting arenas that fans will remember and love, as well as new arenas to come that will feature "deadly new danger zones". Sky City Tokyo will be one of a few locations to come from the aformentioned Ninja Gaiden series. Another factor for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will be the visuals. Fighters will be pushing their bodies to the absolute limit and inflicting pain to their opponents with an array of kicks, punches, grapple moves and more. To add to the pain, intensity, and satisfaction of a good fight, players expect to see their character and every part of their body reacting accordingly, something that Team Ninja is already very well known and respected for.

Besides scrapping your way to victory over opposing online players, the possibility to spectate matches will also be on offer.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is currently scheduled for release this Fall.
