City Interactive has revealed that Harkyn will be the main protagonist in upcoming action-RPG, Lords of the Fallen
when the title makes its way
onto next-gen consoles next year.
"Who is Harkyn?" will be the question on many gamers' lips after the latest piece of this puzzle was announced by the publisher. The truth is that there is no definitive answer to said question as, in true RPG-style, the mannerisms, strengths and weaknesses of the game's hero will be very much defined by the route each individual gamer chooses from the three possible skill trees. Take a look at the character art that follows, and decide for yourself whether Harkyn is indeed "capable of ending the long battle of the Fallen God believers".
A render of Harkyn's head is probably not enough to determine his ability to save the world, so maybe a glimpse at what he is up against
would be helpful.Lords of the Fallen
started life as Project RPG
over a year ago and we have been spoon-fed very few details since then. However, with E3 2013 just around the corner, we will see the full extent of what Deck13's title has to offer when the game is showcased in a live gameplay demo at the conference.
As a way of confirming the above, Tomasz Gop, Executive Producer for Lords of the Fallen
at CI Games has given a snippet of information about what E3 will witness:
Harkyn is not your ordinary hero. Our team is committed to creating a distinct character and a gameplay experience unique to every player, as well as a deep, secretive history that players will be rewarded for upon discovering. We’re excited to show LORDS of the FALLEN, our main character, Harkyn, and the advanced combat mechanics for the first time at E3 next weekLords of the Fallen
is still slated for release during 2014.
