Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Announced

By Cindy Minguez,
Behavior Interactive and Games Workshop yesterday announced a new MMORPG, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, that will be available on multiple platforms, including Xbox One. In their words, gameplay is "third-person, behind the shoulder action featuring precision gunplay and brutal melee combat with excruciating finishers."

Behaviour Interactive has obtained the license for creating "a wholly new MMORPG persistent war experience" set in Games Workshop’s 41st Millennium universe. Players will choose a Warhammer 40,000 race and fight in massive conflicts for territory. Each faction's community must battle for control when whole planets are at stake. The Warhammer universe has been in development for 26 years now, making it possible to create a remarkably detailed experience.

Among the main features of Eternal Crusade, players will choose one of the four races to become: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks or Eldar. After doing so, one may jump immediately into the fray with thousands of other players worldwide or instead create a Battle Squad of friends who can all drop onto the planet together to fight side-by-side. Players have access to the vehicles unique to their races, and, as experience is earned, customizable builds become available. In the massive world of Warhammer, no player will have the same experience twice.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is scheduled for release in late 2015 for the Xbox One. Stay tuned for new information as it becomes available.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade achievements.
