New Artwork for Tom Clancy's The Division

After revealing that Ubisoft's online open-world RPG Tom Clancy's The Division would be coming to the Xbox One sometime next year, we are proud to be able to showcase another batch of brand new concept artwork, along with some further details on the game itself.

Tom Clancy's The Division sets players in New York city, three weeks after being afflicted with a lethal virus. The city has erupted into chaos and all basic services have come to a grinding halt. In response to this dire situation, a secretive group of tactical agents already living among us, known as The Division, is activated when the president initiates "Directive 51". That's where you come in.

Players will be able to explore a frighteningly realistic decimated version of New York, as they must deal with constant looting and hostile clans vying for survival. Executive Producer Fredrik Rundqvist explains:

Our goal with Tom Clancy’s The Division is nothing short of completely changing the way people play online RPGs. With the power of next-gen consoles behind it, The Division puts players in the middle of breathtaking, persistent multiplayer thriller in which they will explore, fight and work together as modern society collapses around you, all with the authenticity for which Tom Clancy games are renowned.

The images show off this truly disastrous future, where almost everyone is out for their own best interests; many are forced to ultimately fend for themselves and deal with the grim prospect of being quarantined.

Tom Clancy's The Division is expected to outbreak sometime in 2014.
