Two More XBLA Titles are Delisted

By Rebecca Smith,
Two years ago, a new racing title hit Xbox LIVE Arcade in the form of Days of Thunder Arcade. The film tie-in saw players racing their stock cars as they tried to rise to the top of the leaderboards. Eight months later, players were invited along on a notoriously difficult adventure through H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds universe. You may now be wondering what these two games have in common. Well, as the title hinted, both of these titles were delisted from XBLA.

Although reasons haven't been given, both games could possibly be victims of expired licenses. As both games are more than six months old and War of the Worlds only garnered a Metacritic score of 55 (Days of Thunder didn't even get a Metacritic score), the most likely explanation, though, is that the percentage of trial downloads that became full purchases was less than 6% and the games both qualified for removal under that clause.

Bizarrely, players can still download the demos for each title. We're uncertain if players can purchase the full games from within the demo but let us know in the comments if this turns out to be the case.
