Just before this year's E3 we discovered
that Halo: Spartan Assault
would be coming over to Windows Phones; gamers would be able to celebrate their favourite universe on the fly. This promise still holds although it seems that those of us not on Verizon may have to wait a little longer for fulfilment. Halo: Spartan Assault
will be available on the Windows Phone App Store for (US) $6.99, and will be playable on the Nokia Luma 928, the Nokia Luma 822, the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Samsung ATIV Odyssey. As long as these phones are on a Verizon plan, the game will be playable at launch, however for everyone else exclusivity will bar the game from reaching you until sometime after this.
Exclusivity is fairly common among Windows Phone games however it is rarely carrier specific and more in relation to phone model. Fortunately the game will still release on Windows 8 for use with a touch-screen or a mouse and keyboard. If you're desperate to play this game on day one, but do not have access to a Verizon phone, this could be an option.Halo: Spartan Assault
is expected to hit Windows Phone and Windows 8 stores towards the end of July.
