After checking out the lengthy dev diary
for Minicore Studio's upcoming 2D platformer, Laika Believes
, John Warren, a member of the Minicore team, takes us through two short and sweet tutorial videos for the game.
The first video teaches us the basics of the aiming system. With this being pretty simple, the video clocks in at less than 40 seconds as John shows off the full 360-degree spin of the aiming, as well as the adjustable aim assist to make things more or less difficult to suit the player:
The second video shows off an offensive sequence. John controls the dog as Laika runs, jumps, and shoots enemies all with pretty decent speed. A few different weapons can be seen as well as a couple of different enemies. One defeated enemy drops ammo for Laika's weapon, and the loveable, silver-armoured dog is also rewarded with a well-earned health pack toward the end of the video:
The first episode of the Laika Believes
trilogy remains without a solid release date as the game's still in the process of being kick started. For now, the release is scheduled for later this year on XBLA.
