EA Sports have confirmed some of the new features that will be included in FIFA 14
. These include a richer Seasons mode, made up of ten divisions that are playable online or offline. This mode also includes a new historic Seasons statistic tracker, which will track your progress and skill, and potentially win you various rewards, such as players, coins and items to make use of in-game.
In addition, EA Sports have given some insight into the return of the popular Ultimate Team mode, as well as how your squad can be customised:
In the Ultimate Team mode you now have greater flexibility to give each of your players a unique style within the team, simply by utilising one of the different "FUT Chemistry styles" available to your defenders, midfielders, forwards and goal keepers. These FUT Chemistry Styles replace the player formation and morale features from previous games. When assigned to your individual players, these styles will ultimately make or break your team as a whole.
Alongside the Chemistry Style system, you will also be able to use the Transfer Market to find desired players by name, and compare them to your current roster. The game also incorporates the element of player loyalty; if you receive a player as part of a pack, they gain a loyalty Chemistry bonus. However, players gained via the Transfer Market will need to play in ten games to receive any such bonus.
Most importantly, FIFA 14
will allow you to customise your squad's kit numbers and set-piece takers on the squad screen:
EA Sports have also released some new gameplay screenshots from the game:FIFA 14
