Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Extended Trailer

By Lexley Ford, 5 years ago
Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja have released an abundance of new media for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, including a new extended trailer and screenshots, alongside details of what can be expected to be in, what is proving to be, the most comprehensive Dead or Alive title ever made.

Costumes – Three “Pop Idol” inspired sets include a “JPOP” style set for Ayane and Kasumi; a self-explanatory “Schoolgirl” inspired set for Hitomi, Kokoro, Leifang and Mila; and a “Bad Girl” set, comprised mainly of leather and lace, for Helena, Lisa, Momiji, Rachel, Sarah and Tina. On top of that, any costumes that have been unlocked in Dead or Alive 5 can be transferred to Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

Improved Training Mode – Tutorial mode has been improved with the addition of new lessons, while the Combo Challenge mode gives players the chance to practice moves and strategies.

Movies – Players will be able to relive thier favourite moments from the game, from entrance and victory animations to story scenes. Not only are these scenes viewable, players will be able to personalize their experience by changing costumes and hairstyles.

Survival Mode – Survival mode sees the return of dropped items when performing actions such as ground attacks or defeating opponents. Each of the nine items provides a different bonus, for example, some items can restore health or reward the player with bonus points.

Team Fight Mode – Build your own team and fight against another player or the computer. Choosing your characters wisely is critical as you’ll need to balance skill sets, speed and fighting styles in order to gain the advantage.

Miscellaneous – The already extensive Move List from Dead or Alive 5 Plus has been expanded further in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate and now includes even more detailed information.

Close to 1000 new titles will be available. Completing missions and challenges will unlock titles, which can then be used to customize your player profile.
Now that you’ve had a chance to read all of that, here are those screenshots, which include a number of individual shots from the recently announced, and aforementioned, retailer specific, pre-order bonus, “Pop Idol” costume packs:
