The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Dev Diary

2K Marin's upcoming game The Bureau: XCOM Declassified has been delayed for a long time and its release is finally right around the corner. With the game's upcoming release, we've seen a few developer diaries giving us a little insight into classified information about the game before it is unleashed onto shop shelves.

In this developer diary, Eric Caponi, the Lead Narrative Designer for The Bureau XCOM Declassified, gives us a little background story about the time period and the protagonist Carter. It's 1962. The government of America are not trusted as well as they used to be by the public. Carter has a troubled past that has left him scarred and an alien invasion may re-open those scars and reveal mental repercussions that could really mess with his head.

Eric Caponi also talks about the relationship between the people working at 2K Marin and how they create story ideas, set-pieces and level designs.



The Bureau XCOM Declassified will be invading shops worldwide on August 23rd.
