At PAX Australia, Bioware's Cameron Lee confirmed that the player's experience in the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition
will be impacted by the choices they have made in previous Dragon Age
titles. However, Lee did not go into any detail as to exactly how it would be implemented, nor what kind of choices would have the most impact:
We know, we are not going to talk about it yet. We know what we want to do. It will absolutely come across, your decisions will carry, it will matter. But yeah, we can't go into details on how it is going to work
While they couldn't elaborate too much on the details of the upcoming game's story, they note that it will revolve around something called the "Inquisition", and that they think players will have an amazing experience. They also tout improved combat mechanics, as well as more emphasis on exploration; the game world is supposedly larger than in any previous Dragon Age
game. They also confirmed that several popular characters will be returning, including Cassandra, Varric and Morrigan.Dragon Age: Inquisition
is expected to be released sometime during Autumn 2014.
