Ubisoft’s newest Assassins Creed title has been making waves across the seas of gamer opinion for some time now. Some feel its too soon for another AC title, some feel that the series has lost its place and is drifting off course, while others are happy to be in the shoes of a pirate and simply cannot wait to get their hands on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. To cover all bases, Ubisoft opened the doors of this title to all at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Some of the greatest minds working on Black Flag came together in the panel: Darby McDevitt, the game’s writer; Matt Ryan, the voice of Edward Kenway; Brendan Fletcher, comic-book author and Todd MacFarlane, well known comic-book artist. During the panel, the four spoke about what they tried to create in relation to the environment and landscapes of Black Flag’s Pacific Islands, how Edward Kenway is as a character and some of the core gameplay and explorative mechanics.

Along with the informative panel came a live gameplay demo similar to that shown at E3 and information relating to the merchandise of the Assassins Creed Universe. From Todd MacFarlane and Brendan Fletcher’s description of the upcoming Assassins Creed comic-book series to a new line of figurines from the guys at MacFarlane Toys, you will have enough AC goodies to sink a ship!

Sharpen your swords and hoist your sails for the release of Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag on October 29th for Xbox 360. The release date for the Xbox One is yet to be announced.
