Some developers make t-shirts to promote their games; some design a model figurine collection to go with numerous special editions and some release screenshots showing off the gameplay. However, at Comic-Con 2013, Ubisoft out-did all of these mild attempts at hyping fan expectation because to promote Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
, Ubisoft…hired a ship.
Sailing into the docks at San Diego was the Star of India, newly renamed and given a fresh coat of paint to resemble Edward Kenway’s Jackdaw from the game. The ship was kitted out with traditional pirate weapons, Assassin’s Creed merchandise, an exclusive gameplay deck and even a Gillette barbershop? Watch the clip below for a tour of the Jackdaw by the game’s Community Developer, Gabriel Graziani.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
is set for release on October 29th for the Xbox 360. A release date for the Xbox One is still unknown, and no…there’s no special edition that includes the ship.
