Available in multiplayer, split-screen and single player, the all new gameplay mode titled 'F1 Classics', introduced by "legendary broadcaster" Murray Walker, will allow players to go back in time and race in the different eras of Formula 1. Travel back to Nigel Mansell's dominant time in 1992 with his championship winning Williams, or keep it current with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez racing in their Mercedes and McLaren-Mercedes, respectively. The more recent racing will include "rule changes, tyre changes and remodelled handling" to keep the experience authentic and challenging for those taking the impressive lineup of cars we see these days for a spin.

Lastly, a new gameplay video has been released showcasing the new and classic content players will get to check out once the game releases. Smooth lines, slick cornering, and all round sweet driving can be seen in the video as Codemasters show us what Formula 1 is:

F1 2013 is scheduled for release on October 4th for Europe and October 8th for North America.
