In most countries in the world, every Windows Phone 8 user was able to download Halo: Spartan Assault (WP)
immediately upon its release in July.
In the US, however, there was a catch. Verizon had an exclusive contract, allowing them to release the game to their customers first. The customers excluded would be those of AT&T and T-Mobile, who were left empty-handed. This exclusive contract was only valid for one month.
As of Saturday, the contract allowing Verizon exclusive access to Halo: Spartan Assault
has expired and all other carriers are now able to make the game available to their customers. Halo: Spartan Assault
is currently available on all Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 devices for $6.99.
