The Division Companion Gaming Trailer

By Marc Caccamise, 5 years ago
Fresh from Gamescom 2013 is a whole slew of new information and content on Massive Entertainment's upcoming game Tom Clancy's The Division. This online, open-world, RPG will pit players into a chaotic and devastated New York City that has seen its basic services begin to fail one by one. As a Division agent, it is your job to prevent the fall of society and to restore order, but you will not be alone. Quite the opposite, in fact, as the new trailer entitled "Companion Gaming" reveals several abilities that second-screen players are able to perform to give you a distinct advantage on the battlefield.

Whether it's weakening enemies, boosting damage, or raining missiles down upon your enemies, your companions can make a significant impact as an eye-in-the-sky through the use of smart phones or tablets.

The persistent and dynamic world of The Division features the core authenticity that the Tom Clancy series has come to be known for: tactical decisions, RPG character progression, and trading. Exploration and player-progression will be essential to survival and is accomplished by looting fallen enemies, crafting improved weapons and gear, and customizing your character from among thousands of weapons, skills, gear, and more. Friends will be able to jump in and out of your game at any time to help you fight hostiles that can be anyone and come from anywhere.

The Division will be coming to the Xbox One; however, no official release date has been announced as of yet. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as it is announced, so keep checking back for more information.
