Over on the Aksys Games forums, an extensive FAQ was posted in response to some of the questions the developers of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
's sequel, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
. While many of the questions asked are relatively worthless (i.e. "Will there be any way to get the BBCS soundtrack in North America?"), some of the questions have a lot of important information in them.
To start, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
has been tagged with a release date of July 27th, 2010
, with an MSRP of $39.99
. Aksys Games have also declared that they will not be releasing a limited edition of any sorts, but will be supporting the game with DLC in the form of new characters, yet those who do not purchase said DLC will still be able to play online with those who do, with Aksys pushing out an automatic update that allows compatibility.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
will ship with 3 new game modes
(Challenge, Legion, and Tutorial) and 3 new characters
(Hazama, Tsubaki, and Mu-12), as well as all the modes and characters featured in the series' last iteration. It also features an "all new story mode" complete with English voice overs and cinematics. All characters also receive new Specials.
Online play has been updated with a "train-while-you-wait" feature, which lets you practice while waiting for your online lobby to fill up. If you purchased new colors for your characters on BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
, they will not carry over to the sequel. Oh, and if you can't be bothered to unlock certain characters, you'll have the option to purchase unlock DLC to obtain them without doing all the hard work.
