Hulu has announced their Plus program, which has been heavily rumored to exist for well over a year now, will be arriving on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the near future. The service, which all ready has appeared on the iPad and iPhone, will run at $10 and will be available only to Xbox Live Gold Subscribers. This service is only available to the United States.
It will hit the Sony PSN network (it is unclear if this will be a PSN+ feature) this fall and Xbox Live in early 2011. Major Nelson says that the reason for the later release is due Microsoft creating a "custom experience" for Hulu users on the 360.
Hulu has up a preview program, where you can submit your e-mail address and some information, to attempt and get a first crack at the service. The service, looking at the page, will include "season tickets" to all the most popular shows. These shows include Family Guy, House M.D., and The Office. It is unclear when you will have those episodes available to you through Hulu. It could be immediately after the initial airing, within an hour, or the next day.
Hulu Plus will stream all episodes in HD and will keep a permenant backlog library of popular shows available to users including The X-Files, Arrested Development, and Prison Break. HULU IS AN AMERICAN ONLY SERVICE. IT IS NOT UP TO MICROSOFT (in this case) WHICH REGIONS CAN AND CANNOT RECEIVE HULU.
