EA continue to rack up the mileage with their Need for Speed
franchise as their latest instalment, Need for Speed Rivals
, takes a quick pit-stop and heads into the garage for more than just a change of tyres and a top up of fuel. In this first newly released trailer, the customisation options are showcased after a speeding Audi R8 Coupe manages to evade the pursuing cop cars.
There's plenty of colours, patterns, and styles to choose from and use almost everywhere and anywhere on the car. Ok, so it's all good having a good looking car, but if it's anything like my Clio I had many years ago, it doesn't look so good taking nearly 30 seconds to reach 60mph! Speed is of the essence of course, so the next stage of customisation very briefly shows off the performance options. Improvements and changes can be made to the acceleration, handling, top speed and plenty of other performance factors for your car. Lastly, you can also catch the Pursuit Tech options. The only option we can catch a glimpse of is the EMP. As you can imagine, when used effectively, the EMP will stop the coppers from catching you!
In another freshly released trailer from EA, Matt Littler and Darren Jeffries head to Gamescom 2013 on a grilling mission to find out more about Need for Speed: Rivals'
features. Game producer, Leanne Loombe, doesn't manage to make a getaway from the two guys and is forced to give us info on gaming mechanics, weapons, pursuit tech, speed points, and plenty more:
Need for Speed: Rivals
will be releasing on Xbox 360 and Xbox One
on November 19th for North America and November 21st for Europe.
