Battlefield 4 Open Beta Dated

Game developer DICE has been doing an outstanding job of teasing us and building up the hype for their upcoming first-person shooter, Battlefield 4. We've seen players buzz over the joys of being chased by a tank through a china shop, the variety of options to come with weapon customization, and the joys of the impressive Levolution system.

There's been plenty of screens and trailers to look at for Battlefield 4, but players will be itching for more details on the multiplayer beta that was detailed briefly last month. I'm personally excited to reveal that the open multiplayer beta for Battlefield 4 will kick off on October 1st!

No more details were included regarding what maps, modes, weapons will be available within the beta besides Conquest mode on the Siege of Shanghai map which we detailed previously. However, an interesting transition package has been revealed in which players can upgrade "from the current generation of consoles to the next generation of entertainment". With around a month (or less dependant on where you live) between the release of Battlefield 4 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, some dedicated players will be warming up with the 360 version of the title and then switching to the latter. The hard earned experience from these weeks of playing will be transferable straight from this generation to the next. There's also many different offers to check out for the different areas of the world regarding upgrading from the 360 title to the Xbox One version so be sure to hit this link right here for details on upgrades and prices available in your region.

Focus group testers for Battlefield 4 have shared their experiences with us before and are at it again as they fly ATV's, go kamikaze, and countdown to obliteration! Check out these three freshly released trailers as these lucky players tell us all about their individual highlights from testing BF4.
