Project Spark New Developer Video Released

By Andrew Ogley, 3 years ago
It's been a while since we were able to bring you news about the upcoming Xbox One title, Project Spark.

Fans of sandbox, level editors, and game creation need not worry, however, as the developers over at Team Dakota have remained busy and have released a new video of their latest live-stream session. In the lengthy clip, the developers cover a number of subjects prompted by the online community. Initially the team demonstrate how animation capture can be done using Kinect before continuing on to show how a complete dungeon level can be made, including various triggers and effects. They then move on to show how a cutscene can be put together using different effects and cameras, and finally they demonstrate how a moving platform can be built and made to follow a pre-defined path.

Project Spark has yet to receive a confirmed release date.

One of the grumpy old men of the team, his mid-life crisis has currently manifested itself in the form of an addiction to sim-racing - not being able to afford the real life car of his dreams. When not spending hours burning simulated rubber, he still likes to run around, shoot stuff and blow things up - in the virtual world only of course.
