Though there were those who were somewhat wary of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
and its take on the XCOM universe, it's safe to say that the game has generally been well received by those who have played it.
Now that almost six weeks have passed since that game launched, it's just about time for some DLC to roll out. The "Hangar 6 R&D" expansion will be available next week, and it focuses on the time before and during the initial invasion. As a result, you won't be playing as Agent Carter, but rather the gent pictured below, Nathan DaSilva.
In the DLC, you will control Agent DaSilva and his team as they are "treated with an elerium-based compound gas in order to visualize and combat the mental defenses of another agent infected with the “Sleepwalker” pathogen." The action all takes place within Hangar 6, a space at an undisclosed location used by the Bureau for just this sort of psychic experimentation.
DaSilva will come with a set of new powers based on his "plant and trigger" bomb abilities. He'll also have old standbys available, so you can customize his skills to your play style. Additionally, a couple of new weapons will be available, such as the AK-47 and a "prototype Microwave Gun that cooks enemies from the inside out."
The "Hangar 6 R&D" DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
will be release exclusively on the Xbox 360 for $4.99 on October 8th, 2013.
