Partying up and playing with friends has always been a major aspect of Call of Duty
's multiplayer. Clans have now become the center of this appeal and are getting a vast amount of new features and modifications for the upcoming game Call of Duty: Ghosts
Perhaps the biggest news is that clans will now be cross-platform, meaning that you and all of your friends can all be in the same clan despite what system you're using. This includes the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. By being a part of a clan, players can earn unique in-game rewards and bonus clan XP, as well as taking place in clan vs. clan playlist modes and in the brand new Clan Wars mode. In Clan Wars, opposing clans will go head to head to secure and hold specific map locations, something that could create a more team-based and strategic atmosphere.
Early clan registration is now available at Call of Duty
's clan page
until October 25th. After that point players will have to wait until open registration begins on November 5th. Players who are also Call of Duty Elite members have the ability to reserve their current clan name as their new Call of Duty: Ghosts
clan name during this time. If this is not done during the early registration period, the name will become free for anyone to claim when open registration begins.
