Ubisoft's upcoming next-gen racer, The Crew
, is set to revolutionise the genre in a number of ways. Today, Ubisoft has launched a new contest for the game which gives you the chance to customise a Mini Cooper S and see your design featured in the game, as well as extra goodies and a limited edition of The Crew
itself. How well can you skin a car?
By visiting the game's website
, you will get access to a number of customisation features such as brushes, stickers, and colours to design your own personal skin for the Mini Cooper S. The tool that has been developed specifically for the contest showcases the vast and numerous customising options that will be available in The Crew
, and once you are happy with your design, they will be shared on the game's Facebook page. From there, they will be submitted to a vote by the fans and then featured in the game when it launches in early 2014.
Now before you get those creative juices flowing, another dose of information regarding The Crew
has been released just in case you're wondering what it's all about.
The Crew propels gamers on a reckless ride through a massive open world version of the United States of America, brimming with exciting challenges and diverse terrain - from city to suburb, county to county, state to state, coast to summit. The Crew redefines the level of freedom players experience in a driving game by offering a playground of unprecedented scope in which any driving fantasy can be realized: street, dirt, cross-country, circuit….The Crew
To bring that vision to life, The Crew leverages the capabilities of new hardware to connect players online like never before. The Crew’s persistent online world is populated by other real human players, featuring any other car as a potential rival or ally, and naturally fostering both competition and cooperation among players. This living world provides a tailored experience to a new generation of gamers, as each player is given the choice to play by oneself, or to team up on-the-go with friends to accomplish collective challenges.
still has a release window of early 2014, but once we know the exact date, we'll let you know. In the meantime, get on that website and start designing!
